It was just a minor fender bender—until I heard a scream.
A woman was about to give birth in the passenger seat.
Her partner? Panicking, useless on the phone.
I dropped my sandwich and took over.
“Push when I say,” I told her.
With one final push, the baby cried.
I wrapped her up, told the mom, “She’s perfect.”
The dad finally showed up, whispering, “Thank you.”
I said, “Next time, be more useful. You’re a dad now.”
Life doesn’t wait for you to be ready. Sometimes, you just have to deliver.
