When I turned 30, I feared I’d never marry. But now, two days before my wedding to Robert—the man who showed me real love—I felt like I was living a dream. Robert was kind, smart, and always made me laugh, even when I was upset.
Then, he walked in looking uneasy. He told me he had to go on a last-minute work trip just before our wedding. I was shocked and hurt but tried to accept it. Soon after, I got a call from his boss, Travis, who said he wasn’t going to the wedding and denied Robert was on a trip.
Realizing Robert lied, I rushed to the airport and secretly followed him. He went to a quiet house and met a woman. Peeking through the window, I saw them embrace—it felt like a betrayal.
I gathered courage and knocked. The woman, Liz, told me she was Robert’s first love and he came to apologize for his past mistakes, not to cheat. She said Robert wanted to clear his past before marrying me because he loved me deeply.
I returned home at dawn. Robert was worried and admitted he lied about the trip but insisted he did nothing wrong. I told him I had followed him and talked to Liz, who explained everything.
He reassured me, “I love you, only you.” And finally, I believed him as we kissed, ready to start our life together.
