Sixty-year-old Brenda clutched her late son Christopher’s photo, whispering tearfully, “My precious boy… I’m finally coming to see you, sweetheart.” It had been a year since the tragic accident that took her only child, leaving her heartbroken and her health failing.
After a year of hospital treatments, Brenda traveled alone to the city where Christopher lived and was buried. At the metro station, she bought white roses for his grave. Spotting a young woman who resembled her daughter-in-law Harper, Brenda hurried to greet her—only to be coldly rejected. Confused and hurt, she wondered why Harper was avoiding her.
At the cemetery, Brenda’s shock deepened when she found Harper’s freshly made grave beside Christopher’s. The groundskeeper told her no one had visited Harper’s funeral, which seemed strange. Seeking answers, Brenda visited Jake, Christopher’s best friend and business partner.
Jake revealed that after Christopher’s death, Harper took out a $5 million loan to save the failing company but then vanished with the money. A week ago, Harper supposedly died in a car accident and was buried quietly. Brenda’s suspicion grew when she found fake passports and plane tickets in Jake’s luggage.
Determined to uncover the truth, Brenda tricked Jake into falling asleep and waited for Harper’s arrival—only to find Harper very much alive. Brenda called the police, and Harper confessed to faking her death and stealing the money with Jake.
