Rich Boy Yells at Near-Blind Woman at Bakery, His Dad Hears It

Steve Morrison worked hard and built a successful law firm so his son, Luke, grew up privileged. But unlike others who might use that advantage wisely, Luke took everything for granted.

One day after school, Steve pulled over at a bakery to take a work call. While he spoke with his partner, Morris, Luke begged for snacks and was given money with a warning to avoid peanuts due to his allergy.

Inside the bakery, Luke rudely ordered from Madison, a polite assistant who happened to be partially blind. When she accidentally packed the wrong item, he lashed out at her without knowing her condition. Steve, having followed Luke in, witnessed the behavior and was disappointed.

Afterwards, Steve surprised Luke with summer plans—working at a diner for a month instead of going on vacation. Though reluctant, Luke agreed when faced with restrictions like no Netflix.

The job turned out to be tough. After getting fired for a simple mistake, Luke came home humbled and apologized to his dad, admitting he’d been wrong to mistreat Madison.

The next day, Luke apologized to Madison in person and even joined the bakery as a part-time worker. Over time, they became friends, and Luke discovered Madison’s talent for painting despite her near-blindness. She explained she couldn’t afford the laser surgery needed to improve her vision.

Feeling moved, Luke asked his dad if they could help. Steve agreed, and after Madison’s successful surgery, he helped her land a designer job at an art gallery through a friend.
