“Overcoming PANS/PANDAS: How Homeopathy and Mold Cleanup Restored Our Daughter’s Health”

In 2021, our family moved to Colorado, excited to start a new chapter in our dream home. But not long after we settled in, we noticed something wasn’t right with our 4-year-old daughter, Skylar.

She became obsessed with washing her hands and was scared of germs. That quickly turned into angry outbursts, repeated behaviors, sensitivity to sounds and textures, and intense anxiety. Doctors told us it was just regular childhood anxiety, but deep down, we knew it was something more.

After doing a lot of research, we learned about a condition called PANS/PANDAS—Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome. It seemed to explain what was happening to Skylar.

Finding help wasn’t easy. The usual treatments didn’t work, so we tried something different—homeopathy.

We started a homeopathic remedy in October 2021, and to our relief, Skylar began to get better. Later blood tests showed she had brain inflammation, likely caused by mold exposure. We had our house tested, and sure enough, we discovered hidden toxic black mold.

The cleanup process was huge. We had to tear out and rebuild three bathrooms, fumigate the house, and deep clean everything. It was a long, stressful, and expensive process that really affected our family.

We moved back into the house in March 2022. Skylar had a small reaction at first, but it was nowhere near as bad as before.

We made a few changes to her homeopathic remedy, and that made a big difference. Now, two years later, Skylar is doing great—she’s a happy, healthy 7-year-old.

We’re sharing our story to help others learn about the hidden dangers in our homes, especially mold, and how it can affect health. Many kids might be misdiagnosed because doctors don’t know enough about PANS/PANDAS.

We also hope more people consider other kinds of healing, like homeopathy. It truly helped us, and it might help others too.
