They led the dog far into the woods and tied him to a tree, convinced he’d be gone for good

Roger didn’t understand why he’d been taken deep into the forest and tied to a tree. He had always waited patiently outside stores, trusting his family to return. But now, only silence.

His owner’s voice echoed coldly: “He’s dangerous. He almost hurt Mia.” The man hesitated, but the woman had made up her mind. Roger had to go.

He thought it was just another walk. Even after the car drove off, he waited. But hunger, thirst, and loneliness set in. He wasn’t guilty—he had saved Mia from a hot pot. But her mother misunderstood, believing he’d attacked.

Alone, Roger howled in pain—until Anton found him.

Anton, nearly blind from an accident, had retreated from life. But when he heard Roger’s cry, he followed it, rescued the dog, and brought him home.

The two bonded deeply. Roger became Anton’s guide and protector; Anton became Roger’s second chance.

By summer’s end, Anton smiled again—and after surgery partially restored his vision, the first thing he truly saw was his loyal friend.
