The Healing Power of Laughter: Hilarious Joke to Brighten Your Night

Since I was a kid, I was always scared there was something hiding under my bed at night. The idea of a dark, unknown presence terrified me, so I decided to see a psychiatrist and opened up about my fear.

With a comforting smile, he said, “Trust me for a year. Come see me three times a week, and we’ll work through these fears.”

I asked, “Sounds good, but how much will it cost?”

“$80 per session,” he replied.

I paused and said, “I’ll think it over and come back if needed.”

Six months later, I ran into him on the street. He asked why I never returned.

I explained, “$80 a visit, three times a week for a year—that’s a lot! But a bartender fixed my problem for $10. I was so thrilled I even bought a new SUV.”

Curious, he asked, “How did a bartender manage that?”

I smiled and said, “He told me to cut off the legs of my bed—now there’s no way anything can hide underneath!”

This joke highlights how sometimes the simplest, even ridiculous solutions can help us conquer our fears—with a little humor along the way.
