I Went to Pick Up My Wife and Newborn Twins from the Hospital I Found Only the Babies and a Note

When I went to the hospital to bring home my wife Suzie and our newborn twins, she was gone. All she left behind was a note: “Goodbye. Take care of them. Ask your mother WHY she did this to me.” Stunned and confused, I confronted my mom, Mandy, who denied knowing anything. But while going through Suzie’s belongings, I discovered a letter from Mandy—harsh, cruel—telling Suzie she wasn’t good enough and urging her to leave. I was furious and told Mandy to leave my life.

For months, I searched with no success—until one day, a photo arrived from Suzie, sparking new hope. Then, on the twins’ first birthday, she came back. Suzie explained how postpartum depression, combined with Mandy’s harsh words, had pushed her past her breaking point. With therapy, she had begun to heal. Slowly, we rebuilt what we had lost—together, stronger, and committed to raising our daughters, Callie and Jessica, with love and resilience.
