A priest offered a nun a lift

A priest offered a nun a ride, and as she got in and crossed her legs, her gown shifted, revealing part of her leg. The priest almost lost control of the car but quickly steadied it. As he did, his hand slowly moved up her leg. “Father, remember Psalm 129?” the nun said calmly. Shocked, the priest quickly withdrew his hand. However, temptation got the better of him, and his hand slid up her leg again. “Father,” the nun repeated, “remember Psalm 129?” Flustered, the priest apologized, saying, “I’m sorry, Sister… the flesh is weak.”

When they reached the convent, the nun stepped out without a word. The priest, still confused, rushed to his Bible when he returned to the church and looked up Psalm 129. It read, “Go forth and seek; further up, you will find glory.”

The moral: Always be familiar with your scriptures—otherwise, you might miss out on a blessing because you weren’t paying attention.
