The orphan was wandering between the gra.ves collecting candy when she suddenly heard a muffled voice from underground calling “Mom.”

A month after her friends Vanka and Mishka were sent to a shelter, Sonya found herself alone in a cemetery, searching for candy left at graves. As she wandered deeper, she stumbled into a quiet, pristine section of the graveyard and discovered a young boy, Kostya, trapped in a freshly dug grave. After helping him out, she was introduced to his mother, Anastasia, who invited Sonya into her home.

Sonya revealed that she had been living alone since her mother died and her aunt’s neglect drove her to run away. Anastasia, who seemed strangely familiar with Sonya, cared for her and watched over her closely. After a few days, Anastasia’s husband, Oleg, realized that Sonya looked exactly like his late brother, Timofey, who had died in a tragic accident years ago.

Oleg and Anastasia quietly investigated, and when they learned the truth, Oleg explained that Sonya’s father, Timofey, had died before he could reunite with her mother. Oleg offered Sonya a new life, promising she could stay with them, go to school, and live as their daughter. With warmth and security, Sonya finally found the family she never knew she had.
