Linda and her older sister, Amanda, constantly fought while growing up. After Amanda left for college, the bickering stopped, but resumed whenever she came home. Their mother, Meredith, often urged them to stick together.
When Meredith became ill, she begged Amanda to take care of Linda if anything happened to her, fearing Linda would end up in a group home. After Meredith passed, Linda stayed in a shelter until Amanda graduated, but when Linda tried to call her, Amanda ignored her, and she never returned.
Months later, Linda found herself alone and bitter. But a kind couple, Tim and Gabby, adopted her, providing the family she’d always needed. Linda grew up to be a successful real estate agent.
One day, Linda received news that Amanda had passed away during childbirth and that Linda was the emergency contact. Shocked and angry, Linda discovered Amanda had left behind a note asking for forgiveness and pleading for Linda to care for her newborn sons.
After finding out that Amanda’s partner, Derek, had abandoned her, Linda called Tim and Gabby for advice. Though hesitant, she eventually decided to accept her nephews, Timothy and Gabriel, and raise them in honor of her mother and sister.
Linda found healing through forgiveness, teaching her nephews the importance of sticking together, no matter what. She often visited Amanda’s grave, reflecting on the bond they could have shared if they had reconciled sooner.
